The Process

How a Haven design consultation works.

Book your consultation

Call us or use the form below to schedule a time. Weekday morning appointments have the most availability. Walk-ins are welcome but appointment holders get first priority.

Come in with what you have

Bring room dimensions, photos of your space, paint swatches, or any existing pieces you want to work around. The more context we have, the faster we can zero in on what works.

Walk the floor together

Your consultant will pull pieces, move rugs, discuss arrangements, and give you an honest view of what fits your space and budget. Expect to spend 60–90 minutes if you’re furnishing a full room.

Leave with a plan

You don’t need to buy anything during the consultation. Many clients spend a first session planning and come back to purchase when they’re ready. The plan is yours regardless.

Mara Solis

Lead Design Consultant

Mara has been with Haven for eleven years and has a background in residential interior design from Columbus College of Art & Design. She specializes in living rooms and open-plan spaces where the sofa, rug, and coffee table have to work together at multiple angles. Customers consistently say she finds solutions they hadn't considered.

Focus: Living rooms, open plans, layering

Delia Moreau

Design Consultant

Delia came to Haven after eight years as a residential stager and brings a strong sense of editing — she’s as likely to tell you what not to buy as what to buy. Her specialty is bedrooms and helping clients understand the difference between a room that photographs well and a room that functions well for sleeping.

Focus: Bedrooms, staging, editing

James Okafor

Design Consultant

James has a background in architecture and approaches furniture selection through the lens of proportion and negative space. He’s particularly good with smaller rooms, where the instinct to add more is usually the wrong one, and with customers who’ve tried to solve a room on their own and want a second opinion on why it isn’t working.

Focus: Small spaces, proportion, dining rooms
